Ian Waghorn relaunches Kensington Places’ Notting Gill Chippy’

Notting Hill hot spot, Kensington Place, is excited to welcome back its ‘Notting Gill Chippy’. Launching on Saturday 4th February 2017, the pop-up returns with an exciting new menu designed by Head Chef Ian Waghorn.

Ian joined Kensington Place in November 2016 and has since revived its menu, introducing a number of lighter dishes and a brand new weekend brunch. The Chippy will feature a concise menu, serving fresh seafood straight from The Fish Shop, the on-site fishmongers sourced from London’s very own Billingsgate Market. Ian has created a range of fish and chip shop inspired dishes including soft shell crab burger, tomato and avocado and crispy monkfish cheeks with aIoli. To finish, an indulgent chocolate pot with salted caramel popcorn and lime. Ian will also reintroduce local favourites such as the signature KP Fish & Chips with tartare sauce and a range of classic sides including mushy peas.

In addition Kensington Place will be partnering with Campari and Aperol to offer a range of cocktails, including Campari Negroni and Aperol Spritz, as the perfect accompaniment to the Notting Gill Chippy menu

Located within Kensington Place’s private dining room, the design will be inspired by an old school takeaway, with minimalist interiors, counter service, a large takeaway board and seating at the window in a light and airy dining space. Those who prefer to eat on the go, en route to Portobello market or Kensington Gardens, can order to take away.

Located on Kensington Church Street, adjacent to the main restaurant, the pop-up will be open Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, 12pm to 14:30pm and 18:30-21:30pm, until April 2017.
