Pancake Day on the Flip Side at Lancaster London

It’s almost time for the nation to take to their kitchen stoves and dust off their frying pans. As Pancake Day approaches (Tuesday 28 February 2017), we will soon be juggling our kitchen utensils in a bid to create multiple mouth-watering crêpes for our friends and family.

This year, Lancaster London has a ‘batter’ idea – why not stop by the hotel and have the work done for you?

If you’ve scraped one too many pancakes off your ceiling in the past, perhaps it’s time to resign from your Pancake Day position. Lancaster London can guarantee guests a flippin’ good time from morning ‘til night with batter-based treats in all restaurants – no matter whether you’re after a sweet or savoury pancake fix.

Start your day at Island Grill with a breakfast of crêpes, stacked high with two choices of toppings: Parisian-style lemon and sugar; or American-classic maple syrup with seasonal berries. Available from 8am until 11am, priced at £7.50 per stack.

Alternatively, curb your sugar cravings with a Nutella pancake roulade. This delicious snack will be served free of charge with all teas and coffees all day in the Lounge Bar.

Shrove Tuesday will even ‘crêpe’ into Nipa Thai as all diners will be welcomed to the restaurant with complimentary spicy Thai bites wrapped in crêpes. Nipa Thai is open for dinner only from 5pm until 10.30pm.

Meanwhile, Island Grill will be whisking up an exclusive set menu of pancake-inspired dishes. Savoury palettes can enjoy a Crispy duck, peanut and chilli salad wrapped in a savoury crêpe; as well as a twist on the signature Fish and chips using a pancake batter. The Sweet pancake tasting plate will make the perfect end to the day. Priced at £15.50 for 2 courses and £18.50 for 3 courses, the menu can be enjoyed from Noon until 10.30pm.
