Budweiser to terrify with Nightmare Circus pop up activations across the nation @budweiser

Budweiser will be terrifying punters at venues across the U.K. this Halloween

London, October 24th, 2017: Budweiser’s Nightmare Circus Troupe of Artists will be surprising Halloween fans with spine-chilling pop-up activations in 16 venues across London, Birmingham and Manchester from 21st to 31st October.

Each of the selected venues will be visited by a troupe with ring masters, contortionists and other terrifying characters to bring the Nightmare Circus to bars across the country. Party guests will be immersed in the Budweiser Halloween spirit with stand-out merchandise and a trick-or-treat wheel of fortune. Those favoured by ‘fortune’ will be awarded with Budweiser and a special, ‘blood-red’ food colouring for consumers to add to their drink, which will fade into the beer (without affecting taste) and then disappear, creating a unique ritual for drinkers as they enjoy their Budweiser. Those who land on a ‘trick’ will have to wait and see what is in store.

What’s more, at bars across the UK Halloween-goers will be able to join the party by receiving a gift mask with purchase of a Budweiser bottle.

Budweiser pop-up activations are part of a larger Halloween takeover, culminating in the Nightmare Circus Halloween Party on Saturday 28th October at The Magic Roundabout, Old Street. A DJ set from indie sensation FOALS will headline the event, with band members Edwin Congreave and Jack Bevan on the decks. Get ready for an evening of tricks, treats, epic music, a slaughterhouse bar, London’s finest street food and an array of twisted performances.

At the same time Budweiser will also launch the Budweiser King of Fears Shop, the UK’s first haunted fancy dress shop with illusionists and scare experts. Think haunted house meets fancy dress shop –  with a Budweiser bar and free Budweiser with every purchase.

The Nightmare Circus Party and King of Fears Shop are both strictly 18+ and guests may be required to show ID on the door.

Sascha Cordes, Senior Brand Manager, Budweiser UK, commented: “Halloween is quickly becoming one of the key celebration moments of the year, with people going out in search of fun, unique and immersive events – and we want Budweiser to be leading the way with our Nightmare Circus venue takeovers. We hope these get consumers even more excited about our iconic brand, and increase footfall in local bars this Halloween weekend. This Bud’s for you!”
