ARYZTA Food Solutions Partners with University of Edinburgh to Support Aspiring Chefs @weareARYZTA

ARYZTA Food Solutions is once again championing chefs through its latest partnership. The dedicated foodservice bakery supplier is collaborating with the University of Edinburgh to promote its Chef de Partie of the Year Competition, which offers aspiring chefs the opportunity to demonstrate their skills under the competitive spotlight.

Competitors will be tasked with preparing and cooking an individual quiche of their choice, served with a seasonal winter salad. With a Savoury Tartelette Case from ARYZTA’s high-end patisserie brand Coup de pates as a base, the chefs’ creativity and skill will be put to the test as they create a standout dish with the range of fresh ingredients available to them.

As part of the partnership, ARYZTA will also be bringing its expertise to the judging panel, helping to develop the University’s team of chefs. Competitors will be marked on a number of different elements of their dish including flavour, colour and texture.

On the partnership, Gordon Dochard, Kitchen Operations Manager, University of Edinburgh comments: “It’s fantastic to have ARYZTA Food Solutions getting involved in our Chef de Partie competition. We’re really trying to nurture and develop our team of chefs here at the University and having an established brand such as ARYZTA supporting us really helps our cause. This is now the second year we’ve run this and, if last year is anything to go by, we should have an excellent competition on our hands and hopefully some innovative flavour combinations to enjoy.”

Paul Whitely, Head of Marketing, ARYZTA Food Solutions adds: “Promoting talent is incredibly important to our business and we’re delighted to be partnering with the University of Edinburgh. The great thing about this competition is that it gives chefs a chance to work with our products, express their creativity and demonstrate individuality. Our Savoury Tartelette Case will provide the chefs with a perfect canvas but then it is down to them to use their knowledge and skills to produce an inspired quiche which will wow the judges.”

ARYZTA Food Solutions’ support of the University of Edinburgh comes in the wake of its announcement that Wendy Lo, the 2017 winner of its young chef competition, Chefs at Play, and alumna of City of Glasgow College, is set to see her winning creation go into production in early-mid 2018.
