Introducing Soda Sessions at Nine Lives: London’s best boozefree party

Nine Lives is throwing a party, a boozefree party to be exact, running every Tuesday throughout the year and launching just in time for dry January. The guys behind renowned drinks agency Sweet&Chilli and founders of Nine Lives bar introduce ‘Soda Sessions’, proving you don’t need booze to beat the January blues. With a killer 90s hip-hop soundtrack, shuffleboard competitions, boozefree cocktails and pizza by the slice, this is a school-night shindig.

Nine Lives are working with the world’s first non-alcoholic spirit, Seedlip (“solving the dilemma of what to drink when you’re not drinking”). Cocktails such as the ‘NOgroni’ and the ‘Garden Sour’ made with Seedlip Garden, apple, rosemary & thyme will sit alongside other non-alcoholic seasonal creations such as ‘G&T Kefir’ made with ginger, turmeric & lemon water kefir and the ‘Recharge’ with ginger, lemongrass & sugarfree Red Bull. This is fine-drinking without the hangover.

Nine Lives’ magnificent repurposed sound system will ooze the heaviest of beats from the likes of Dre, Wu Tang, Gangstarr & Tribe – the golden age of hip-hop. Take to the shuffleboard table for the evening where the competition is fierce, winners stay on and the wall of fame heros the true champs. All of that shuffling makes for hungry work, so just order a slice from the Nine Lives team, kick back and feel just fine the next morning.

Set in a Victorian basement close to London Bridge, Nine Lives has brought some much needed cocktail culture to the foodie district of Bermondsey Street, SE1. From founders Allan Gage, Emma Hutchison & Tom Soden inspired by their frequent work with the world’s best bartenders and living by a sustainable ethos, the Sweet&Chilli team have poured their hearts and minds into the venture.

Soda Sessions on Tuesdays at Nine Lives brings a weekly night of boozefree cocktails, 90s hip-hop, shuffleboard battles and pizza by the slice.
