SKINNY BRANDS JOINS THE SUSTAINABLE MOVEMENT WITH ALUMINIUM BOTTLES

Skinny Brands will only sell their lager in aluminium bottles at the events it supplies this year

Skinny Brands, creators of 89 calorie 4% ABV Skinny Lager have launched fit-for-purpose aluminium bottles to replace its current glass bottles at festivals and events throughout the year.

In recent months, bars and restaurants across the country have made a combined effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastics, with more than 60 UK independent festivals committing to banning plastic straws immediately and all single-use plastics by 2021.

Skinny Brands Lager will be available at variety of major events this year including The Wolf Run Series, British Beach Rugby, Cowes Week and Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Allan Moffat, Marketing Director of Skinny Brands, said:

“Typically, lager is served in plastic cups at festivals and outdoor events. Our customers tell us they prefer to drink out of a bottle, so we have developed a sustainable alternative that ensures our lager taste as good as it would out of a glass bottle.”

“Everyone has seen the impact that waste, particularly plastic, is having on our planet, and we wanted to make sure we were contributing to the solution and not the problem. The aluminium bottle is a step in the right direction and it is part of our commitment to using recyclable or re-useable materials at events.”

Skinny Brands will be trialling the bottles at events this year with plans to roll them out across key pubs, bars and restaurants in the future.
