Ben Tish hosts Sicilian supper club at Norma and creates a special feasting box in celebration of his new cookbook: Sicilia 

On the 8 June, Culinary Director of the Stafford Collection Ben Tish and the team will be hosting an exclusive Sicilian supper club at Norma, Fitzrovia. The event will give guests a first taste of the recipes contained in Ben’s new cookbook: Sicilia, a love letter to the food of Sicily, released on the 10 June.

At the ticketed event, hosted on the first floor of the townhouse restaurant, guests will be treated to a real Sicilian feast. The menu begins with snacks of Sweet & sour rabbit on toast; Red prawn crudo with orange and rosemary; and Spaghettini fritters with parmesan and summer truffle. This is followed up with a showstopping Baked Sicilian anelletti timballo – a layered dish to share, made of up of seasonal vegetables, meat and pasta and served by the slice. For mains, guests can choose from either a Charcoal grilled tuna, coriander seeds, lemon and grezzina courgettes or Rose veal braciola, n’duja, pine nuts, raisins and a datterini tomato sauce – both served with an Aeolian style summer salad. Finishing on a sweet note, there is a refreshing Wild strawberry and rose granita and Iris – Chocolate and ricotta doughnuts.

For those wanting a flavour of Sicilia outside of London, Ben will be creating an exclusive Norma Feasting Box also featuring dishes from the book for the publication month. Dishes included in the easy to prepare kit are Nocellara olives; Grape, rosemary and nero d’Avolo focaccia; Spaghettini fritters with parmesan sauce and Brindisa Smoked anchovies with pork fat toast. Next up is Fresh pasta with ricotta and a pistachio pesto, followed up by Walter Rose grilled beef bavette, courgettes, mint, chilli and gremolata, served with a Watermelon, chicory and pecorino salad using ingredients from Natoora. For dessert, there will be a Cannoli kit with whipped ricotta, candied fruit and pistachios. There will also be a full-size bottle of Sicilian wine and a copy of the book included for £125, serves two.
