A new gin bar in Hull has put its trust in one of the UK’s iconic heritage brands when it comes to providing background music for customers.
Humber Street Distillery has installed a sound system manufactured by Gainsborough-based sound specialists Logic Systems Pro Audio.
Distillery and bar owners Lee Kirman and Charlotte Bailey, who also regenerated the nearby Minerva pub, opened in response to the growing popularity of the drink.
“We knew we could make a real success of it because gin is seeing such a resurgence in popularity. We stock around 50 varieties of gin at The Minerva and they go down really well with our customers,” says Lee.
“But providing the right atmosphere is also important and the guys at Logic are really good and the system they supplied sounds amazing. This is the second time we’ve used them and we’d never buy a speaker system from anyone else.”
The installation includes six IS7 speakers. The IS7 cabinet combines a 6.5” Mid/Bass cone with a titanium dome HF. The IS series has been designed specifically for the Bar and Club installation market, so it’s ideal for Humber Street Distillery’s bar.
The IS range is available with a number of bracket options to aid installation and can also be ordered in different colours.
Also installed at the venue is a Logic Systems B.5, a compact high power bass cabinet designed for use in landscape mode and which utilises a 12” bass cone loaded into a vented back cavity, while the front of the driver is loaded into a manifold that helps to improve performance between 80-150Hz. Its low profile means it can be located under seating or furniture.
