The handcrafted premium tonics and mixers brand receives six Great Taste Awards for the second year running.
Franklin & Sons is celebrating simultaneous success at the Great Taste Awards, with six of its drinks picking up Great Taste accolades in the 2017 Awards. Wild Strawberry & Scottish Raspberry with Cracked Black Pepper, British Dandelion & Handpicked Burdock with Star Anise, Natural Indian Tonic Water, Natural Light Tonic Water, Scottish Soda Water, and Sicilian Lemon Tonic Water, all received a prestigious star at the world’s largest quality food awards.
Organised by the Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste Awards is known as the Oscars of the food industry. Taking place every year, more than 450 experts, including specially trained food critics, writers, and chefs from across the industry, came together to name the best of the best. Tested on the most demanding palates, Great Taste is the world’s most coveted blind tested food and drink awards. And Franklin & Sons’ success comes on the back of a number of other endorsements by industry experts, including the New York International Spirits Competition and the Quality Food Awards.

Each product is blind-tasted and awarded wholly on its quality and taste. From the 12,366 Great Taste entries, Franklin’s range is amongst a select number of drinks to have been awarded one of these seals of approval.
This is the second time in two years numerous Franklin & Sons products have taken an award. British Dandelion & Handpicked Burdock with Star Anise, Natural Indian Tonic Water, and Sicilian Lemon Tonic Water have all been awarded one star for the second year running, while Wild Strawberry & Scottish Raspberry with Cracked Black Pepper, Natural Light Tonic Water, Scottish Soda Water, have all won for the first time. Joining previous winning flavours, Original Ginger Ale and Brewed Ginger Beer with Malted Barley & a Squeeze of Lemon, which won a coveted two stars, means that 80% of the Franklin & Sons range is now Great Taste awarded, with every tonic in the range boasting the respected mark of approval.
