Mortimer House Kitchen announce new spring menu and alfresco dining

Recently opened Mortimer House Kitchen in Fitzrovia announce the launch of a new spring menu to coincide with the opening of the all-day summer terrace. The spring menu will be available daily in the restaurant, midday-10pm from today, Thursday 3rd May.

Located on the corner of Mortimer and Wells Street, Mortimer House Kitchen evokes the style of a Mediterranean brasserie instilled with subtle middle-eastern influence and a focus on providing sustainable, organic produce in a thoughtfully designed and welcoming environment. The all-day menu, split into small, medium and large plates focuses on seasonality with familiar dishes given a lighter rework such as: 

Hand-Dived Scallop Tartare with Pea Shoots, Radishes and Lime £9

A Spring Salad of Asparagus, Peas and Green Tomato £11

Roasted Cod, Asparagus and Marina Tomatoes £19

 

Mainstays on the menu also include:

King Crab and Avocado Salad, Burnt Corn, Wild Chicory and Tabasco Mayo £20

Buffalo Ricotta Ravioli with Black Truffle £16

Grilled Wild Seabass, Sautéed Spinach and Amalfi Lemon £28

To match the lighter style of spring cooking and in keeping with the ethos of using organic and sustainably sourced ingredients, the Mortimer House Kitchen wine list boasts a carefully selected range of organic and biodynamic wines such as; a Gavi di Gavi DOCG, La Raia – 2015 Piedmont (Italy), Cortese and Chianti DOCG Podere della Filandra, Anastasia Buccianera – 2016 Tuscany (Italy), Sangiovese.

To coincide with the launch of the spring menu, Mortimer House Kitchen are delighted to announce the opening of the summer terrace seating on one of London’s most charming streets. Set back from the bustle of Oxford Street, the terrace provides a quaint setting for a summer sundowner or post-work aperitif from the bespoke cocktail list including Dalloway’s Daydream, a refreshing mix of Belvedere, St Germain, Aloe, Lime and Agave (£11) and Maslow’s Strawberry Lemonade, Tito’s Vodka, Lemon Sherbet and Strawberries (£11).

The terrace area seats up to 19 and is open from 7.30am -9pm daily. Guests are welcome to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks on the terrace throughout the day.

Mortimer House Kitchen is located on the ground floor of Fitzrovia’s newest work and wellbeing destination, Mortimer House.
