Catering Design Group (CDG) has appointed two young designers to support its business growth.
Charlotte Jones and Ellis Gadsby have joined the Daventry-based commercial kitchen and restaurant design company as junior designers, having each graduated this year with a BA degree in interior architecture.
Their responsibilities range from creating mood boards and producing technical drawings to liaising with fabric and furniture suppliers.
Helen Davis, commercial director for CDG explained: “It is early days in their career, but their enthusiasm, interest and design flair makes them a perfect match for CDG.
“We look forward to supporting their growth further by mentoring them and giving them every opportunity to shine.”
Charlotte and Ellis now work closely with CDG’s senior designers within the business to ensure that they understand a brief that is set and that they meet clients’ requirements and high expectations.
22-year-old Charlotte Jones, who graduated from Nottingham Trent University, said: “ I am super excited to be working in such a creative environment and to be part of a supportive team.”
Lincoln University graduate, 21-year-old Ellis Gadsby, is equally happy in her role. She said: “Although I have only been here for six weeks, I have already learnt so much and I am really enjoying it so far.”
For over 28 years, Catering Design Group has transformed commercial restaurant spaces within business and industry, hospitality, education, retail and leisure sectors.
Helen Davis said: “We are fortunate to have a growing portfolio of loyal clients within this hugely competitive and vibrant sector. This latest investment in two junior designers is part of a strategic approach to ensure that we have the right talent pool to support the business as it grows.”
