Admiral Recruitment apprentice has been named a finalist in The Asian Apprenticeship Awards 2018

Rima Patel, an apprentice with City-based Admiral Recruitment, has been shortlisted under the ‘Judges’ Choice’ category of The Asian Apprenticeship Awards 2018.

The awards recognise and celebrate the superb level of talent within the British Asian community and the support they receive from their employers and learning providers.

Admiral Recruitment, which specialises in sourcing, developing and placing talent with the hospitality sector, is also shortlisted for an Asian Apprenticeship Award under the Finance, Legal & Professional Services category for its work with apprentices.

The winners will be announced a gala dinner on Thursday 29th November 2018 at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.

19-year-old Rima from Ilford in Essex joined the specialist recruitment company last year after completing her A-Levels at Loxford School of Science and Technology in Ilford. With the support of Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service, she applied for a one-year apprenticeship and is already making her mark.

Just seven months into her apprenticeship, she was selected to join Admiral Recruitment’s consultant training programme. Rima went on to become the first person on a 12-week induction programme to become a Junior Recruitment Consultant for Admiral Recruitment’s Commercial Division, showing how quickly she has progressed. Last quarter, Rima was targeted with registering 120 candidates and she registered 147, showing her talent and interest in this sector.

Paula Rogers, founder and CEO of Admiral Recruitment, said: “Rima has embraced all of the challenges of this fast-moving sector to prove that she has the skills to make a career for herself and is now highly skilled at resourcing in catering and hospitality as well as commercial placement. We are incredibly proud of her and she is now working alongside Lynne Cullen, our Associate Commercial Operations Manager as part of her team. What is amazing is that Rima is still a teenager, yet she has achieved phenomenal success to date with Admiral Recruitment.

“Her engaging personality has won the respect of colleagues, clients and candidates and her enthusiasm for recruitment is inspiring for all.”

Admiral Recruitment’s Commercial Division places 150 people each week in temporary and permanent commercial positions for clients within corporate organisations throughout London, from property and media companies through to law firms, investment companies, high end private clubs, hotels and restaurants.

Rima said: “I have been given incredible opportunities as part of my apprenticeship which have enhanced my professional and my personal development. The support I have received from day one has been outstanding.

“The joy for me is getting people jobs. This is an amazing privilege at my age, and I love the fact that I am already making a difference to someone’s life.”
