The Ascott Limited Bolsters UK Growth Efforts with Hire of Billy Hughes

The Ascott Limited (Ascott) has appointed Billy Hughes as the new UK Area Manager to drive company growth, enhance guest experience and increase operational efficiency.

Billy Hughes, who has previously held multiple General Manager roles across London and the UK including recently the 800-bedroom Tower Hotel and The Grosvenor Hotel, brings a wealth of experience to Ascott having over twenty years’ experience in the hospitality sector.

In his new role as Area Manager of Ascott in the UK, Billy Hughes will be responsible for a portfolio of five Citadines Apart’hotels and The Cavendish London in Mayfair; as well as overseeing the launch and managing the new Citadines Islington London property, which is set to open next summer.

The new appointment of Billy Hughes and recent move to the UK of Frederic Carré, Regional General Manager for UK, Germany, Spain and Georgia, sees Ascott broaden its shoulders in the UK significantly. Frédéric Carré has been with Ascott for 16 years, overseeing different areas across France, Belgium and Germany, as well as leading Franchise development for Europe.

Ascott has continued to see success in the past 12 months, both in Europe and globally, winning six top accolades at the World Travel Awards Europe 2018 as well as the Best Serviced Apartment Provider Award at the Relocate Awards. They have also signed properties across Malaysia, the Philippines, China and recently opened a Citadines property in New York, USA: Citadines Connect Fifth avenue New York.
