Double Standard, the ground floor bar and restaurant at The Standard, London is launching a new Sunday Brunch menu this Spring, along with a DIY Bloody Mary station.

Available every Sunday from 12pm to 4pm the new brunch menu combines British brunch favourites with hearty American classics, to create fulfilling dishes that are paired perfectly with bottomless Prosecco or a DIY bloody Mary, to cure any heavy head. 

The new DIY Bloody Mary station, priced from £13.50, gives guests the opportunity to create their perfect Bloody Mary. Choose between a Classic Vodka, Red Snapper Gin, Bloody Maria Mezcal or a Virgin Maria and add a mix of five garnishes including; classic gherkins, cherry tomatoes, bacon and celery; seafood delights of prawns, pickled anchovies and lobster claws; cheddar & stilton cheese or a or add an extra kick with a Double Standard hot sauce float. 

Linking to the brand’s New York roots, a slice of Americana is showcased through new food dishes including; Buttermilk chicken and waffles with crispy bacon, maple syrup & chicken fat butter; Short rib mac and cheese; Baby back pork ribs with barbeque sauce and jalapeno slaw.

British breakfast and lunch favourites are brought together for crowd-pleasing options; The Standard’s Full English, a plate of sausage, smoky bacon, baked beans, hash browns, mushrooms, roasted tomatoes and eggsEggs Benedict, Royale or Florentine served with a Sriracha hollandaise; Aged sirloin steak with a fried duck egg, watercress and fries. Those with a sweet-tooth can enjoy a selection of waffles topped with caramelised banana, salted caramel ice cream and chocolate sauce or Amarena cherries with whipped vanilla cream. 

Double Standard encapsulates the feeling of a British local with heavy-set wooden doors, textured glass and TFL-inspired upholstery, giving a modern and playful twist that feels unique to the city. Offering a fun, lively dining experience with DJ sets and cocktails, Double Standard is the perfect spot for a vibey brunch to cure any weekend hangovers while enjoying an American and British twisted menu.
