SIGNATURE DISHES CREATE A BUZZ AT AYRSHIRE VENUES

Buzzworks Holdings has announced a refreshed menu for spring and summer across its portfolio of nine restaurants in Ayrshire, focusing on fresh local produce and reflecting current dining trends.

Each of the four brands within the Buzzworks portfolio – Scotts, LIDO, Elliots and House – have new additions to its menus including a speciality section which allows individual head chefs to showcase their flair for seasonal dishes.

The new speciality menu encourages uniqueness and creativity from the skilled Buzzworks chefs, to create mouth-watering dishes for their own venue. The offering will be refreshed every two weeks with the focus remaining on local produce and seasonal favourites.

The inspiration taken from the coastal locations of Scotts in Largs and Troon is reflected in its new menu, with the best of Ayrshire’s locally landed seafood showcased in a variety of forms. Along with lobster, langoustines, king prawns and scallops, oysters are now available for the perfect start to a night at the marina.

For a lighter menu option, there is also a brand new fresh salad selection and a ‘while you wait’ nibbles offering at Scotts.

Simple dishes with big flavours remains the focus at Buzzworks House venues, which includes the Long House in Kilmarnock, Corner House in Kilwinning, Mill House in Stewarton and Treehouse in Ayr.

Popular dishes now include slow cooked lamb roast, traditional steak pie and speciality burger. The House stack of Stornoway black pudding, potato scone, poached egg, hollandaise sauce and parma ham crisp is also tipped to be a favourite dish amongst visitors.

Alongside the hearty dishes available at House venues, the new menu has a revamped offering for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan tastes, reflecting on current foodie trends across the UK.

For the more exotic palette, Elliots has the widest international food offering for Buzzworks, while LIDO reflects a Mediterranean influence of Italian and Spanish dishes sitting alongside Scottish classics. Many of the old customer favourites remain on the LIDO menu for Prestwick and Troon with the return of the ever-popular inferno chicken and Moroccan Spiced Rump of Lamb.

The Buzzworks Bakehouse, situated behind Elliots in Prestwick, delivers freshly made cakes to all of the venues daily, providing the perfect treat for sweet toothed visitors.

Key lime pie, chocolate delice torte, iced banana parfait and peach melba sundae are just some of the new additions to this seasons menus across the portfolio. An exclusive new addition to Elliots dessert menu is Café Gourmand, which includes any coffee accompanied by a selection of Bakehouse mini desserts.

Alison Blair, Buzzworks Holdings Operations Director, said: “The changes we have made bring our chefs skills to the forefront and encompass some of the latest food trends including wider healthier food options and a breakfast offering.

“We believe our menus truly complement each of our venues and their locations. There is something for all tastes and ages at Buzzworks and we are particularly proud of our speciality menus across all venues. They showcase the superb talent that we have working back of house and give an extra personal touch to our customer’s experience.”
