New restaurant manager joins idyllic Lakeland retreat

The award-winning Leathes Head Hotel located in the secluded Borrowdale Valley near Keswick, is pleased to announce the appointment of their new Restaurant Manager Kevin Ricou.

Originally from Brittany in France, Kevin has lived and worked in the UK for 7 years and brings with him a wealth of experience working in mouth-watering restaurants throughout the Lake District, including Holbeck Ghyll and most recently the Ryebeck Hotel & Restaurant in Bowness-on-Windermere.

Kevin joins The Leathes Head Hotel at an extremely exciting time as they launch their brand-new restaurant and dining experience after an extensive refurbishment programme that took place during the winter months.

 

 Kevin Ricou, Restaurant Manager at the Leathes Head says:

“My appointment at The Leathes Head Hotel is such a fantastic and exciting opportunity and I look forward to learning so much from working with our Head Chef Noel and the rest of the team to deliver a first-class dining experience situated in the heart of the Lake District. The Leathes Head has everything in place to make this happen and I look forward to be a part of it.”

Borrowdale’s first 2 AA Rosette Awarded Restaurant is headed up by chef Noel Breaks who is proud to deliver a menu of locally grown, reared and foraged produce, including Herdwick Lamb from Yew Tree Farm in Rosthwaite, milk and free range eggs from Scales Farm, and fresh produce from other Cumbrian producers; fresh meat from Lakeland Supplies in Kendal and cheese from The Kendal Cheese Company.
