Greater Manchester-based hospitality firm Beer Piper – which is the UK’s number one in beer line cleaning – is investing over one million pounds into the business as it cements itself in the sector after the pandemic.
The firm will move to expanded premises in Trafford Park, Greater Manchester, and invest over £100k in new manufacturing equipment to ensure Beer Piper stays at the top of its game as a vital support for pubs, bars, hotels and restaurants in the region and beyond.
At the same time, Beer Piper is investing significantly in branding, marketing and PR with a brand refresh, a new look and a redesigned website and social presence that strongly reflects the new chapter for the company.
During the pandemic, Beer Piper – which uses advanced high tech systems to enable landlords and hospitality owners to clean their beer lines and serve perfect pints – pivoted to provide advice to the sector as it adapted to the restrictions. As the hospitality sector emerges from the extremely challenging time, Beer Piper has been on hand to help customers open their bars back up, while also saving them money and eliminating waste.
As well as expanding into a new site, Beer Piper has promoted long-standing team member, Jan Kristian, to MD. Jan has been with Beer Piper since 2018 when Beer Piper was purchased by Dovefield Ltd. Jan’s role at Chemisphere was production manager. Due to his technical skills, he was transferred to Beer Piper and his task was to finalise the BP4 machine and develop the BP5 machine which will have functions not yet seen by the market.
Beer Piper employs 20 people in the Greater Manchester region, and has plans to expand its team when it moves to the new site in Trafford Park, investing in the city as well as the industry.
Jan Kristian, MD at Beer Piper, said: “For obvious reasons, the past two years have been very tough on everyone in the hospitality industry. As a business, we made the firm decision to provide support to our customers as they closed their bars and restaurants due to Covid, and focus on assisting them where possible to ensure the longevity and preservation of their beer lines. After that, we focused on troubleshooting and providing key advice to the industry to ensure they could adapt to the changing landscape.
“The pandemic cemented Beer Piper as a vital part of the industry – and created an even stronger bond of trust between us and our customers. We are all in it together, and by installing Beer Piper systems, we can save bar managers time, money and waste – all of which are crucial as the sector adjusts to the new normal and rides the constant challenges of increasing prices, bills, staff shortages and quality issues. The challenges are underpinned by a growing demand for excellence in drinks by consumers; as we are squeezed by post-pandemic price increases across energy, fuel and food, people want quality and perfection when they spend their hard-earned money on hospitality.
“Greater Manchester is our home and our heartland, so we are very proud to invest in the business and in the region at this time.”
The move to the new premises will see Beer Piper share space with parent firm, Chemisphere UK, which also provides a service for the hospitality industry with an unrivalled range of cleaning and hygiene products.
Jan continues: “We want to accelerate the message that our systems can provide quality cleans and can also help our customers save money in these times of austerity. In the longer term, we plan to expand into Europe to help facilitate the larger brewing firms – so there are exciting times ahead for Beer Piper thanks to the investment and the new chapter.”Beer Piper is the UK’s leading beer line cleaning firm, specialising in high tech systems which clean beer lines to the highest standards while providing real time data to landlords and bar managers, and saving them time, money and waste.
