Cahoots Throw The Ultimate Party Shindig at The Vaults @CahootsLondon

What ho! Spiffing news: Soho’s underground sensation Cahoots is throwing a splendid celebration, Cahoots Underground Knees Up on Friday 6th October 2017 at The Vaults. Following its first birthday party on board the HMS BELFAST, the team at Cahoots are inviting scoundrels and starlets down to Cahoots’ Black Market, a secret hideaway for all of London’s illicit dealings hidden under the vaults of Waterloo Station.
Following a smashing two years filled with post-war shenanigans, black market cocktails, Squiffy Picnics, swing dancing, spiffing live music, and plenty of knees ups, the scoundrels of Cahoots are coming together for an unforgettable shindig. Guests will be welcomed to The Vaults and immediately immersed in the glory days of post-war Britain.

Guests must be sure not to arouse suspicion from Scotland Yard while sneaking into the secret world filled with market traders, drunken politicians, swing dancers and starlets. Upon arrival at Cahoots’ Black Market, guests will walk through the ticket office and be greeted by the infamous entrepreneur Billy Hill, Cahoots’ main source of stolen goods and owner of the underground black market, with a Veuve Clicquot champagne reception. The evening’s entertainment will include black magic from none other than Dee O’Blimey Riley Guvnor captivating guests with his mastery. Heady libations of Grey Goose, Jack Daniels and Bombay Sapphire will flow through the night and Fentimans soft drinks will be on hand to steady those wobbly knees. Whitsable Bay Blonde lager and Bay Pale Ale will also be on offer. Guests will eat and drink the finest grog and grub – that may, or may not, have fallen off the back of lorry – with meals served in mess tins, as well as must have Midnight rations, filled with essential party ingredients; fish fingers, finger sandwiches and British favourites sausage rolls, before heading to The Loose Goose for a digestif or two. The space will be transformed into a war-time black market bunker, in which guests will be able to escape in the different coves and tunnels for plenty of 1940s style fun and games.

Each tunnel will lead into a different world of 40’s frolics, from the vintage speakeasy “coffee” shop to the rip roaring Scoundrels Market, which will serve an array of Cahoots cocktails, hosting all night long entertainment, from the brass band to the Hotsie Totsie swing dancers and late night retro DJ sets. Enter into The Loose Goose for a more intimate affair, fashioned in the style of a 1940s coffee shop, get your espresso’s spiked with Grey Goose Vodka and sing along with our favourite cockney, Tom Carradine. Those looking to spin all night long should kick things off with an open air raid, which will host DJs throughout the night alongside The Roundabouts DJ duo. If you are looking for a dark corner seek out the hidden Moonshine Brothers Saloon for a cosy nook and an old fashioned, operated by transatlantic scoundrels, Jack and Daniel.

The wildest cats in town will be on hand to entertain guests all evening long with upbeat jazz, swing and lindy hop. Guest DJ, The Roustabouts, will be spinning records alongside charming live entertainments from Cahoots regulars The Hotsie Totsies. Cahoots sartorial staff will be dressed up in authentic bespoke 1940s uniforms and guests are encouraged to put on their glad rags, get dolled up and follow suit! After all, it is 1946. Tally ho!
