PUKKA PIES APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF FOODSERVICE, LEE BIRMINGHAM

Leading chilled pie brand, Pukka Pies has announced a new senior appointment with the arrival of Lee Birmingham as Head of Foodservice, UK and International.

Birmingham will oversee the growth of Pukka Pies’ existing foodservice offer which currently accounts for 50% of the brand’s £45m revenue.  Working closely with the leadership team his key focus will be building and developing relationships with customers to help leverage the brand’s position as the number one branded pie brand.

Having previously worked for Cadbury UK/Kraft Foods and Symington’s LTD, Birmingham comes with an impressive array of experience across Food Service, Convenience, B2B and Sales.  He will be utilising this experience to continue to implement the family owned brand’s ambitious three-year growth strategy to sell more pies, to more people, more often.

Lee Birmingham, Head of Food Service commented, “There is a huge opportunity to grow the Pukka Pies brand within the Foodservice channel, and as the market changes, we need to continue to lead that change by ensuring we have the right range in the right format for the right channels.  Our new, “Veggie Tikka Masala” product is a great example of this.

“I am really keen to begin this journey as soon as possible and I look forward to speaking with and meeting all of our key customers over the next few months.”
