THEO’S SIMPLE ITALIAN LAUNCHES WEEKEND BRUNCH

Theo’s Simple Italian at Hotel Indigo Kensington® is set to launch a new Italian four course brunch menu for the first time from Saturday 3rd September. This brunch concept has been designed by Chef Director Theo Randall with a focus on Italian style sharing, ideal for families and friends looking to celebrate the weekend together in a relaxed and informal setting.
In true Italian style, the new menu begins with an assortment of starters designed to share for the whole table, before individual Primi and Secondi courses are served. The Piatto di Antipasti (appetizer plates), will feature a variety of Italian classics such as: Buffalo Mozzarella; Marinated Artichoke; and prosciutto di Parma. Guests can then choose between fresh pasta and risotto from the Primi section, such as Pappardelle con ragù di manzo (fresh pasta with slow cooked beef in Chianti and San Marzano tomatoes); and Risotto di mare (risotto with vongole, prawns, squid, mussels, tomatoes, chilli and parsley).
For Secondi, choices will include Arrosto di faraona (wood roasted guinea fowl stuffed with prosciutto di Parma and mascarpone on pagnotta bruschetta); and a more traditional Italian brunch dish of Frittata (zucchini, caprino fresco, marjoram and mixed Italian leaves). To finish, sharing dishes are once more embraced with a feast of Piatto di dolci, featuring Theo’s famous Amalfi lemon tart and Ricotta cheesecake with pears marinated in Marsala and vanilla.
Of the inspiration behind the Italian brunch menu, Theo Randall notes: “I’ve designed the brunch menu to have a sharing feel about it, whilst letting guests choose their primi and secondi courses. I love to start a meal with delicious anti pasti and fresh focaccia, finishing with a large plate of desserts to share, so this is something we have incorporated into brunch. I find that food that’s shared tastes even better. Brunch should always be a relaxed affair with no formalities and Theo’s Simple Italian is the perfect place to come for good food with a relaxed feel.”
Located within Hotel Indigo® London Kensington, Theo’s Simple Italian highlights the rustic and fresh flavours of Italian cooking, set within a light, bright and welcoming neighbourhood restaurant.  Delivered by expert friendly staff, it focuses on bringing locally crafted produce to life, celebrating the best of Italian ‘casual dining’. The 54 cover restaurant offers a number of private and semi-private dining options, as well as tables for larger groups, perfect for the unique sharing element of the new brunch menu.
The four course brunch menu will be available on Saturday and Sundays from the 4th September and is priced at £35 per person, which also includes a glass of prosecco on arrival.
