Cahoots Throw The Ultimate Blitz Party Shindig at The Vaults @CahootsLondon

What ho! Spiffing news! Soho’s underground sensation Cahoots is throwing a splendid celebration: Cahoots Underground Knees-up on Friday 6th October 2017 at The Vaults. Following its first birthday party on board HMS BELFAST, the team at Cahoots are inviting scoundrels and starlets down to Waterloo for an evening of rip-roaring celebrations, that will transport guests back in time to the ultimate post-war 1940s Blitz party with dazzling cocktails and swinging live entertainment.
Following a smashing two years filled with post-war shenanigans, black market cocktails, Squiffy Picnics, swing dancing, spiffing live music, and plenty of knees-ups, the scoundrels of Cahoots are coming together for an unforgettable shindig. Guests will be welcomed to The Vaults and immediately immersed in the atmopshere of post-war Britain.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted at a 1940s ticket office where they will receive a glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne. Shindiggers can look forward to war-time rations of British favourites such as fish-finger sandwiches, sausage rolls and much more, served in mess tins and “hard” Cahooch will be ever-flowing in the form of our Grey Goose, Jack Daniel’s and Bombay Sapphire black-market cocktails. Midnight rations will be served too for those still peckish!

The space will be transformed into a war-time bunker, guests will be able to escape in the different coves and tunnels for plenty of 1940s-style fun and games. Each tunnel will lead into a different world of ‘40s frolics. The main Blitz Room will serve an array of Cahoots cocktails, hosting all-night-long entertainment, from a brass band to the Hotsie Totsie swing dancers and late-night retro DJ sets. Enter into the Grey Goose Espresso Martini Bar for a more intimate affair, fashioned in the style of a 1940s coffee shop, get your Espresso Martinis and sing along with our favourite cockney, Tom Carradine. For those looking to spin all night, an air raid siren will signal the opening of the Swing House, with the Cahoots DJ, The Roustabouts, keeping guests on their feet all night long. If you are looking for a dark corner, seek out the hidden Gentleman’s Jack Room for a cosy nook and an Old Fashioned. With all the knees-up action heating everything up, guests can be sure to cool down throughout the night with a chilled Whitstable Bay beer, a refreshing Fentimans soft drink or a delicious mocktail.

The wildest cats in town will be on hand to entertain guests all evening long with upbeat jazz, swing and lindy hop. Guest DJs, The Roustabouts, will be spinning records alongside charming live entertainments from Cahoots regulars The Hotsie Totsies. Cahoots sartorial staff will be dressed up in authentic bespoke 1940s uniforms and guests must put on their glad rags, get dolled up and follow suit! After all, it is 1946. Tally ho!
