As a proud Scotsman, it was no question that Chef Adam Handling would be putting together something special to mark Burns Night and this year is no different!
So, while we may be celebrating at home for 2021, that’s not stopped Adam from creating an exceptional Burns Night feast via his nationwide delivery service Hame by Adam Handling. In partnership with the world’s most awarded single malt scotch whisky, Glenfiddich, Adam has designed a one-off Burns Night menu box, complete with a tasting selection of celebrated Glenfiddich bottles to add to the celebrations. a
For the exclusive Burns Night box, Adam has of course put together a Scottish-inspired menu, featuring his own luxurious takes on some of the country’s best-loved food. Kicking off with his signature chicken butter and sourdough bread, the menu will include a delicious starter of roasted scallops, black pudding and hazelnut butter. Following on will be Adam’s own interpretation of the classic ‘haggis, neeps and tatties’ – a Lamb Wellington with chilly neeps, crispy tots, and a whisky and peppercorn sauce – and for dessert will be a wonderfully light but decadent chocolate and cranachan mousse cake. Plus, to round off the celebrations, the Burns Night box will include a 500ml bottle of a bespoke Glenfiddich cocktail from Adam’s award-winning Eve Bar.
As always with Hame by Adam Handling, each box will arrive with every element pre-prepared in house by the Adam Handling team, so all that’s left is to finish off the cooking at home. Also included will be a full menu description guiding you through how to finish and plate each course in detail.
Alongside this specially designed four-course menu showcasing the very best of Scottish cooking, the Hame Burns Night box will also feature the very best of Scotch whisky too, with a Glenfiddich tasting pack included. What better way to get into the true Scottish spirit?!
Each box will include tasting bottles of the Glenfiddich 12 Year Old (5cl), Glenfiddich 15 Year Old (5cl) and Glenfiddich 18 Year Old (5cl). Alongside some prepared tasting notes from the Glenfiddich team, recipients of the boxes will also be invited to join an exclusive Burns Night Zoom Tasting on 23rd January hosted by Glenfiddich Brand Ambassador, Alex Walker, to help guide you through the whiskies at home.
Each box will be £150 for two people. For every box purchased, Glenfiddich – as part of the WG&S UK #STANDFAST campaign – will donate £10 to The Drinks Trust Charity which will be matched by Adam Handling to support the hospitality industry in these incredibly difficult times.
