MIKOS GYROS TO OPEN IN NEW HAWLEY WHARF DEVELOPMENT IN CAMDEN ON 1ST OCTOBER

The Greek farm-to-table grill continues to dominate the London Greek food scene with its eighth opening

Mikos Gyros is the farm-to-table grill which has been steadily dominating London’s Greek food scene ever since its launch in 2017. Specialising in Gyros from the Greek Islands, the fast-casual brand quickly gained popularity for its authentic flavours and unbeatable kebabs at affordable prices, opening numerous sites across the city to satisfy growing demand. And now, Mikos Gyros continues its rapid expansion with its first North London outlet in the new, highly anticipated Hawley Wharf development in Camden opening on 1st October 2021.

Joining a small, hand-picked selection of exciting food and drink venues to launch in the canalside development, Mikos Gyros will provide a much-needed Greek food fix to Camden’s kaleidoscopic array of customers, from tourists and office-workers to the neighbourhood’s iconic punk rockers.

Boasting an unusually peaceful location by the Camden Lock waterfall, the new 20-cover restaurant will offer a succinct menu of brand favourites, including pork, halloumi and vegan options as well as the legendary Mr Chicken, which was Brixton’s most-ordered item on Deliveroo during the 2020 lockdown. The fillings can be ordered either in a grilled Greek pita or a hotbox, and each comes served with signature sauces, salads and double-fried oregano chips.

Delectable sides include Halloumi Chips with Gyros sauce dip and the newly launched Aussie Dim Sims, an Australian street food delicacy of fried dumplings and Shoyu dip, with chicken available initially and vegan, pork and prawn options coming soon. This exciting addition to the menu will also be rolled out at the brand’s 7 other existing sites across London, as well as the new delivery-only kitchen in Greenwich which is due to open on 4th October.

Mikos Gyros prides itself on making everything on its menu from scratch, using only the highest-quality local ingredients. It boasts a firm “farm-to-table” ethos, ensuring there is a connection with the fields that the ingredients are produced in—a culture which is reflected in the food quality, and why the brand has seen such widespread popularity and success. This makes the affordability of all the dishes all the more impressive, and helped win Mikos Gyros a nomination as one of London’s “Best Meals under £10” on Deliveroo.
