Harvey Nichols adds two new beers to its Own Label range, Harvey Nichols x OXO Tower Pale Ale and Harvey Nichols x OXO Tower Gluten-Free Session IPA, available in stores and online RRP £3.00 per bottle.
Made in partnership with Thornbridge Brewery, one of the nation’s most respected and highly rated craft beer producers in the country, the new Harvey Nichols x OXO’s beers are something quite special.
The Session IPA has been expertly crafted to dispense that classic wallop of India Pale Ale flavour, but at a more modest alcohol level and without the gluten. It’s brewed using an array of New World hops – Ella, Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Amarillo – that deliver more tropical fruit than Mexico. Weighing in at a very quaffable 4.5% and delivering a punch of passionfruit, pineapple, papaya tangerine, mango, kiwi and grapefruit, this IPA has a big personality. Maris Otter and Munich Crystal malts provide chewiness and honeyed richness, all with less than 20ppm of gluten.
Meanwhile, the Pale Ale has been expertly crafted in an invigorating lighter style. Brewed at a weekday-friendly 3.8% using Crystal, Mosaic, Chinook and Citra hops, this light-bodied craft beer is beautifully balanced and crisp with a lingering citrus note and a long, hoppy finish. Easy drinking yet deeply satisfying, and that savoury depth makes it extremely food friendly. What we love about it most is the complexity provided by the hops. Crystal serves up woody spices and wildflower meadow notes, Mosaic adds blueberry into the mix, Chinook brings pine to the party, and Citra empties a truckload of citrus fruit right onto the palate.
