With Brits planning an extra special treat for their Mum this Mother’s Day, it’s no surprise that people are thinking of forking out this Mother’s Day.  A recent survey found that the average Brit is planning to spend £64 on their Mums, despite growing concerns over the cost of living.

The new research also reveals that Glasgow is one of the regions most keen to visit a restaurant this Mother’s Day, with nearly half (46%) planning on dining out. Furthermore, the survey revealed that the average Glaswegian expects to spend £87 on their mum this year, more than any other city in the UK. Luckily, three of OpenTable’s Top 50 Best Restaurants for Brunch and Sunday Lunch in the UK can be found in Glasgow and Lanarkshire, providing plenty of options for every budget.

Robin Chiang, VP, Growth Markets for OpenTable commented: “After two years of spending Mother’s Day at home, our data shows pent-up demand for dining out for the holiday, with reservations exceeding pre-pandemic levels. For those who haven’t selected where they’ll be dining with their mum this year, OpenTable’s Top 50 list is the perfect place to start.”
