Keep your Christmas 2023 on-brand advise the experts

It can be tricky to know where to start when choosing Christmas decorations for your premise but the advice from the experts is to pick a theme and stick to it.

phs Greenleaf has been providing the hospitality industry with Christmas trees and decorations for over 20 years, including pre-decorated trees of all sizes, bespoke displays and festive accessories for both inside and outside a premise.

“The key is to align your Christmas theme with your brand,” advises Stephen Dieppe, Managing Director for phs Greenleaf. “Your Christmas trees and displays should be a reflection of your brand’s values and ethos. The festive season provides you with a brilliant opportunity to visually communicate your brand values to your customers through your Christmas displays, helping to build your engagement with them.

“For example, if sustainability is particularly important to your brand, you will want to think carefully about your Christmas theme. Decorations with tinsel and glitter are not considered environmentally-friendly and will jar with your messaging. Instead, you should use sustainable, natural materials like hessian bows, raffia ribbon, bark, pine cones and pampas grass, which look very effective and beautiful on Christmas trees and displays.

“We worked with The Novotel London Blackfriars, which is one of the Accor Group’s most environmentally friendly hotels. At the heart of its ethos is changing the mindset of guests so that sustainability becomes a top priority when choosing a hotel. We worked closely with Accor to create bespoke, environmentally-friendly Christmas trees for the hotel that could convey this important message whilst maintaining a warm, festive feel to delight guests. It worked incredibly well.

“If you have a very playful or quirky brand, you may want to consider having some fun with your Christmas displays. After all, it’s Christmas! Our pre-decorated Candy Cane Trees and retro-vibe Christmas Party Trees are both popular for adding extra personality and fun to a space – great for festive parties.

“Some of our customers want something even more bespoke to their brand and go for different themes to reflect different areas of their premise. We have created everything from Alice in Wonderland-themed Christmas displays to fluorescent pink flamingo trees!

“Of course, if you have a more traditional brand, you cannot go wrong with a beautifully decorated traditional Christmas tree. Reds, greens and gold never go out of style for a classic festive season and they are a staple in our pre-decorated Christmas tree range.

“Our experts work with chains as well as independent brands to deliver Christmas displays that welcome guests and boost sales. We have a large range of standard and luxury pre-decorated trees available to hire and our experienced team can also design and deliver bespoke trees and displays as required.”

phs Greenleaf supplies more than 2,500 decorated Christmas trees each year to businesses across the UK.

The Christmas designers install each tree on location to ensure it looks perfect and ready to welcome staff, visitors and customers. Each tree is available in a wide range of sizes – from a standard 7ft tree to as high as 30ft tall, alongside the 3ft tabletop tree, decorative wreaths, garlands, floral arrangements, lights and other festive accessories.
