Staycationers looking for a little extra peace and seclusion will be drawn to a new private cottage being opened in the grounds of The Grinkle Park Hotel.
The Gatekeepers Cottage is tucked away in the sprawling Yorkshire Moors and is now open for guests along with the three other cottages within the Classic Lodges’ portfolio: Highwood Lodge at Bagden Hall Hotel; The Mews at Roundthorn Country House; and The White Swan Cottage in Alnwick.
The cottages are part of Classic Lodge’s newest offering providing guests with the privacy and safety of a self-catering cottage. Each cottage enjoys the best of both worlds with guests able to access all the same luxuries of a traditional hotel stay with full access to the hotel’s amenities including a deluxe afternoon tea or dinner and drinks in the hotel restaurant and bar.
Richard Smith, Director of Marketing and Partnerships at Classic Lodges says the opening of the cottages will give guests peace of mind during their stay: “Guests have been eager to get their suitcases packed and book their staycations but they’re still a little nervous about the COVID-19 restrictions and their own safety.
“The new cottages provide them with the peace of mind allowing them to truly relax during their stay but without missing out on what they love about a hotel. We’re looking forward to welcoming them back and handing over the keys to our cottages.”
Each of the four cottages is able to accommodate between four and eight guests, allowing entire households, including the dog, to get away for the weekend and enjoy a well-deserved break in the surrounding countryside.
The Classic Lodges Cottages are now available to book exclusively through their own dedicated booking system, a first for the hotel, allowing guests the freedom to choose and reserve their stay with ease. As part of future plans, more new cottages will be opening in August giving guests more options to relax in their own private retreat.
