On 18th and 19th February 2022, Lake District Farmers, famed suppliers of Michelin-starred restaurant quality meat from small scale hill farmers in the Lake District, are holding two truly fabulous culinary charity events at the Abbey House Hotel, Barrow in Furness – all in aid of raising money for those who need it most in Cumbria.
On both nights a spectacular 6-course meal will be prepared by a culinary superstar team of three of the UK’s top chefs including Monica Galetti, Mark Birchall, Lisa Goodwin-Allen, Angela Hartnett, Matt Abe and Helene Darroze
As well as a 6-course menu every night with the chefs cooking two courses each, there will be some fabulous live entertainment and a raffle where ticket buyers could be in to win some extraordinary prizes. All meat on the menu will of course be provided by Lake District Farmers and fish will be supplied by sponsor, Flying Fish.
Tickets are now on sale and cost £120 per person with 120 tickets available each night. Tickets can be bought via this link – The Lake District Farmers Armstrong Family Charitable Dinner – Lake District Farmers. For those living across the UK, accommodation is available at the Abbey House Hotel.
For many years, the Lake District Farmers Armstrong Family Charitable Fund has raised money for local families in need, in memory of their founder, Ray Armstrong, who before passing away in 2013, discretely supported many local charities and causes. To keep this important tradition of heartfelt philanthropy going, the fund has grown from strength to strength, with this year’s mission bigger than ever, inviting some of the country’s very best chefs to create something magical at Abbey House Hotel Barrow in Furness.
The fund has been able to make a huge difference to a number of families over the years, providing wheelchairs for children in need, special sensory equipment for disabled children to use at home, and a bespoke compression suit for a child with cerebral palsy.
